GLUTATHIONE (600mg)
Glutathione (GSH) is the body's most abundant intracellular antioxidant, a tripeptide composed of glutamine, cysteine, and glycine. Widely studied across biochemistry and cell biology, glutathione plays a central role in redox homeostasis, immune signaling, and hepatic detoxification pathways. Its levels decline with age and in conditions of chronic oxidative stress.
Mechanism of Action
• Directly neutralizes free radicals and reactive oxygen species (ROS), reducing oxidative damage to DNA, proteins, and lipid membranes in cell studies.
• Studied for its role in regenerating vitamins C and E back to their active antioxidant forms.
• Supports Phase II hepatic detoxification through glutathione-S-transferase conjugation of xenobiotics and toxins.
• Research links GSH to immune function regulation via cytokine production and lymphocyte proliferation pathways.
• Participates in DNA synthesis, repair, and protein function maintenance at the cellular level.
Research Areas
• Antioxidant repletion research in models of oxidative stress and aging.
• Hyperpigmentation and melanin synthesis inhibition studies.
• Hepatic function and detoxification pathway research.
• Neurological protection studies in oxidative damage and inflammation models.
• Innate immune modulation research.
